2000

January 2000: ZKIS received accreditation from the Weihai Government as a Foreign Language Institute.
May 2000: The Weihai Korean Kindergarten was opened.

2003

February 2003: The Zhongshi International Academy (Primary, Junior and Senior high school) was opened.

2005

March 2005: The Zhongshi International Academy received accreditation from the Wiehai Government.
May 2005: ZKIS hosted foreign teachers training in Shandong Province.

2006-2007

ZKIS was officially registered as an International School.
52 students were found from Grades 1-8.
The school was formally recognised as a Cambridge Examination Centre.
2007-2008

The school increased its numbers to 73 pupils.
The highest grade was now Grade 9.

2008-2009

Numbers increased to 125 after the 1st semester and 166 after the 2nd semester.
The highest grade was now Grade 10.
Plans for a new school building were put in place.
2009-2010

Pupil numbers reached 199.
The first IGCSE results; 2 distinctions and 1 merit!
June was accepted into Yonsei University.
John, Gina and Joy went to study in the USA at New Covenant Academy.
The new school building was completed.
May 2010

IGCSE Results; 3 distinctions, 2 merits and 1 pass.
Ronny became the first ZKIS student to study in the UK at LIPA.
Stanford Achievement Tests were offered to all pupils in Grades 1-10.
The first UK trip took place.
The first school-wide Field Trips were offered.
The school magazine ‘ZIP’ was started.
2011-2012

Results: 5 distinctions, 3 merits and 2 passes. Arlene achieved 8 A* and 1 A.
Pupil numbers exceed 200.
A new electronic system was introduced into the library.
4 new basketball courts were built.
The first cohort of Grade 12 started their AS level courses.
Improved facilities and use of the Science Lab
The school competed in its first regional soccer tournament.
Catherine was accepted into 5 UK universities and is currently studying at Bath University.
Cavin was accepted at Les Roches International School of Hotel Management (Switzerland).
Itios was accepted at the University of Illinois, Michigan State University, and Washington State University.
